Twist’d Sister’s

Store front  Cone

”Simply the best, taste the difference.” This colorful little ice cream nook in Provincetown was a real treat. Crowded in among all shops, pubs, and galleries, the Twist’d Sister’s is a bustling pizza shop with a great ice cream from Richardson Farm. Even on the busy street, its hard to miss as the outside has a giant, free standing cone. The nice woman behind the counter always referred to Shane as “Honey” and me as “Darling” and was very attentive to our needs and questions. She even gave me an extra mini-scoop of Totally Turtle on top of my Kahlua Coffee Brownie dish because I was so torn between flavors. Although there was limited seating inside, the interior was clean and colorful and had lots of room for people to mill about.

The ice cream was great. At $2.95 (without tax; really $3.15 when all is said and done) it is a little pricey for the serving size received. And it was served in styrofoam, which is an infraction in my book. But the ice cream was really good. I enjoyed Kahlua Coffee Brownie (with a touch of Turtle as previously mentioned). The Turtle was really carmely which was great! The Brownie, which is one of the top sellers, was filled with soft, delicious brownie pieces. Shane chose the Moosetracks which was also amazing with a HUGE piece of delectable, soft fudge. Both very decadent. So to wrap up, if you are all the way up in P-town, I would suggest swinging by the Twist’d Sister’s. And as the kind lady behind the counter informed us, “come back and try the pizza, its the best on the Cape.”

  1. [...] I am sad to say that Lewis Brothers Homemade Ice Cream should be avoided, walk down the street a little and check out the Twist’d Sister, you will be much happier.  [...]

We are big fans of Twistd Sisters Ice Cream and there great New York Pizza, (go back and try the Pizza, you will think you’re in Brooklyn) My husband and I try to visit every weekend we live in Sandwich. Besides the food, the entire staff is genuinely friendly and upbeat, even when it’s quite busy. We must confess that sometimes we take a whole pizza home, its usually half gone by the time we arrive. We would recommend Twistd Sisters to anyone.

This is the best Ice Cream and Pizza in town!!!! And the “sisters” are wonderful — They are friendly, funny, and genuine….they make everyone who stops by feel right at home. What’s not to love? If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you are missing. It’s my first stop on my way into town and my last stop before going home.. Love you girls !!!

I’ve eaten Ice Cream EVERYWHERE, but my taste buds keep bringing me back to Twist’d Sister! AWESOME stuff!!!!! Besides Ice Cream, they’ve got the most delicious pizza! Also, compared to those “other” ultra-pricey ice cream shoppes in town, Twist’d Sister doesn’t leave you broke when you leave! Remember to vote for them, they’re are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Attitude is all, folks-if you want my money. I’m not an ice cream eater, but the pizza is the best in Ptown. And the smiles and chat make it all the better. Great place.

Twistd Sister is the BEST! I am a native New Yorker. Growing up there were only chain processed ice cream stores. You know all their names. It is such a treat in PTown to go to a REAL ice cream store. They have so many flavors, and sometimes its a hard decision to make. The staff is very friendly, trying to help with a decision and a taste of some if you are really undecided. My fav is Moosetracks and the Almond Joy, ( after MANY samplings ). Its a real homestyle atmosphere. The Pizza is just a great. Dont get me started on that! You can have pizza for lunch, and come beack later that evening for an ice cream dessert. Usually you can see the same people working and they are still as friendy since 12 noon till past midnite. That makes it all worthwhile for me. Lots of dedication and customer service going on there.
I will say it again….Twistd Sisters is the BEST !
