”Simply the best, taste the difference.” This colorful little ice cream nook in Provincetown was a real treat. Crowded in among all shops, pubs, and galleries, the Twist’d Sister’s is a bustling pizza shop with a great ice cream from Richardson Farm. Even on the busy street, its hard to miss as the outside has a giant, free standing cone. The nice woman behind the counter always referred to Shane as “Honey” and me as “Darling” and was very attentive to our needs and questions. She even gave me an extra mini-scoop of Totally Turtle on top of my Kahlua Coffee Brownie dish because I was so torn between flavors. Although there was limited seating inside, the interior was clean and colorful and had lots of room for people to mill about.
The ice cream was great. At $2.95 (without tax; really $3.15 when all is said and done) it is a little pricey for the serving size received. And it was served in styrofoam, which is an infraction in my book. But the ice cream was really good. I enjoyed Kahlua Coffee Brownie (with a touch of Turtle as previously mentioned). The Turtle was really carmely which was great! The Brownie, which is one of the top sellers, was filled with soft, delicious brownie pieces. Shane chose the Moosetracks which was also amazing with a HUGE piece of delectable, soft fudge. Both very decadent. So to wrap up, if you are all the way up in P-town, I would suggest swinging by the Twist’d Sister’s. And as the kind lady behind the counter informed us, “come back and try the pizza, its the best on the Cape.”
