Happy Spring everybody!
Now that the snow is melted, the ice cream shops are beginning to open their doors and Shane and I are ready for another busy season.
To get started, we thought we would alert you to TWO ice cream events in the area.
First, we have the annual holiday: Ben and Jerry’s FREE CONE DAY on April 17th. One small cone at a time, you can keep going back for more 12-8pm. They have all the classic favorties and PLUS several new flavors. Shane and I tried Cinnamon Bun from the grocery store last night. If you like cinnamon buns, it is delicious! I did not notice the carmel flavor in the base ice cream, but it is very cinnamony, the swirl is rich and delicious, and I liked the chunks of bun. I am also excited to try Creme Brulee and AmeriCone Dream. Check out all the new flavors here.
Next we have the 25th annual SCOOPER BOWL in Boston, only a hop, a skip, and a jump from the Cape! On June 5th, 6th, and 7th the nation’s largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival will be raising money for the Jimmy Fund. You can purchase tickets online to this great event. So mark April 17th and June 5th, 6th, and 7th on your calanders and get your stomaches warmed up for another season of ice cream!
