The Cape Cod Ice Cream Challenge

Betty Ann’s Dairy Freeze

Located just over the bridge in Buzzards Bay, Betty Ann’s is a little outside the scope of The Cape Cod Ice Cream Challenge as it only serves soft serve.  However Tess and I being ice cream junkies, stopped by one day just to see how it was. 

Its a little place, a walk up location with ample seating and a nice view of the new Mass Maritime Wind Turbine, which was spinning nicely the day we visited.  Watch out if you have little kids, as the place is right on a busy road.  While in your sugar coma, don’t let the little ones vibrate out into the road.

Soft serve ice cream is well…not good, but this place serves some interesting stuff, kind of ”gourmet” soft serve if you will.  More flavors than vanilla and chocolate, and an ample amount of dips, and toppings.

I would not recommend traveling out of your way to visit Betty Ann’s but if you are in Buzzards Bay get a cone, enjoy the day, and watch the turbine spin.
